Successivamente alla miscelazione delle materie prime, l'impasto destinato alla forgiatura a pressa e a tornio viene introdotto in cilindri di acciaio dove viene disidratato e dimensionato secondo la destinazione d'uso dell'impasto stesso. L'impasto invece destinato alla forgiatura a colaggio (arricchito notevolmente d'acqua) viene canalizzato verso l'impianto di produzione attraverso una tubazione al cui terminale con delle pistole vengono riempiti gli stampi che in seguito vengono appoggiati in senso capovolto su dei telai per permettere il colaggio dell'acqua in eccesso.
